Words are powerful. Jesus told his disciples in Matthew 17:20 (KJV). And Jesus said unto them, because of your unbelief; for verify I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Our faith is linked with the confession of our lips. There should be agreement with the two. Even the smallest faith backed up with confession could birth a miracle . We earned salvation by believing and confessing that Jesus is Lord. Romans 10:9-10 KJV says that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
In Romans 10:10 it says, for with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Jesus said the following concerning His Word; Mark 13:31 (KJV) Heaven and earth shall pass away; but my words shall not pass away; furthermore in Isaiah 55:11 (KJV). So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing where to I sent it. As believers we are to use the word of God as our defense; defending yourself from the traps of the enemy. When we put the Word of God to use in the battles of life – our victory is sure.
